A New play written and directed by The director of Releve, Erica Livingstone, is coming to the area of Rohnert Park at Sonoma State University this Spring 2009. This play introduces new talent, not yet properly showcased by the university mainstage productions. This small cast of 14 is sure to bring this new work to life.

This play tells the story of a teacher in adulthood learning to cope with the dark past of her abusive childhood. In the present the trials of trust, and faith are tested again, as an older more wiser Kalissa is faced with the responsibility of caring for her niece while her alcoholic sister is in Rehab, Kalissa finds herself faced with a similar situation as she was years before. She uses the story of her past to help her niece see that there is always a way out, she tells the story about herself in late adolescents as the creative writing teacher at a private school in San Fransisco, where Kalissa Miller discovers her prized student is facing the same tragedy she herself faced as a child, and decides to take it upon herself to help her.  and through telling this story to her struggling niece, Kalissa herself then learns what it truly means to break the cycle of violence.
